Well, I turn 31 in 3 exactly 3 weeks and 2 days from today. That's just weird! Where has 2011 gone? I had many goals, some I've met, some I've forgotten and others will remain on the next years goals/affirmations/dreams list. My main goal was obtaining absolute fitness. While I have much to improve on I can say I am most definitely in the best shape of my life. I was in Utah over Thanksgiving Break and while I haven't run very much in the last few months I was able to go out and bust out 5 miles and feel great. The terrain was various and fun and relaxing but hard enough that it left me feeling it the next day. I loved running in the Utah winter air. The air is thinner, I love it! I remember running in XC in high school and running in my neighborhood in the winter loving it. It was just what I needed with my mind having been so bogged down with so many things as of late. Even last night I did an INSANITY work out with power jumps and though I hadn't done it for a good amount of time I was able to do it better than I did when doing the program after the first round. It felt great. My energy and endurance is through the roof. All though the last couple weeks I've allowed sugary desserts into my system and WOW can I ever feel it. And not in a good way. My body has become sensitive to those processed sugars. So I'm glad I did it only because It make me know for myself just how much better off I am without it. Motivation to steer clear of it over the next couple holidays. So changing my eating habits over the last two years has been HUGE! And it gets easier and easier. I am healthy inside and out...I'm not obsessed about being skinny. I want to be healthy and fit and feel the way I do today for the rest of my life. P90X2 is on it's way to my door step...I'm so excited to take my fitness to a new level. I love a challenge!
What I am loving lately is how much this is rubbing off on those around me! It's a blast! I love seeing my friends and family getting into it, changing their lives, becoming healthy and fit themselves. Getting people excited about working out. People asking to come and work out with me and for my personal help. I absolutely LOVE my job as a fitness coach and with Beachbody. Beachbody is an amazing company and business. While I have the ability to recruit coaches to be apart of my team, my focus is on coaching and helping others. Eventually I'd love to have some join me and pay it forward to help others, but my focus right now are with the individuals who I've been working with and will start working with in the coming year. I love getting people excited about working out, getting healthy and giving them the hope that knowledge that they can make there fitness/health goals a reality.
One of my focuses personally is putting the important things first. If you have read "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" you will know this but one of the first habits is putting those important things first and how most of us will prioritize and have our lists of what's important, but those things that are number 1 and 2 and even 2 on our list get put down on the priority list because they are not urgent. Like our family, certain projects etc. So there are some things I need to be fixing there and putting the first things first.
Have you been thinking about those New Years Resolutions/Goals/Affirmations? Please share....
