Looks like I'm due for an update on here. Where to even begin? Well I just finished Phase 2 (aka-month2) of P90X2 and I'm loving it!!! I finished up this phase with doing Tough Mudder at Vail Lake in Temecula CA. It was one of the best days of my life! And it was a absolutely beautiful day! I will have to do a separate entry to just talk about that experience. I will be doing it again! The reason I jumped in wanting to do it...last minute with only a month to prepare...but I wanted to see what I could do outside the walls of my home besides running obviously. I've been working out training diligently and wanted to see where I'm at in my fitness abilities. Tough Mudder is the perfect way to test it! Not long ago it hurt my hands to do the monkey bars and I didn't have the strength to even do them. But I made it half way across these bars that were loose and greased up before I came on one that was too slippery and I fell into the water. But the actual act of doing these bars was of little effort it felt (well it's been a week so maybe I don't remember and I was in the moment of feeling amazing) so that was my number one obstacle I was worried about...that I wouldn't even to make a few movements on the bar...so this was a big deal to me. Running and having the obstacles was a blast!
So I had a recovery week this last week and tomorrow I begin Phase 3 of P90X2 and it's time to BRING IT! Holding nothing back, eating right and improve my athletic abilities. I love X2, I don't know if it's just because I've been doing this for so long now (working out at home on my own) but I feel so much more aware of what is going on with my body and what is being worked. I feel it in the excercises, stretches and see it in the mirror. LOVE IT! The foam roller is a SWEET tool to have for deep stretching and I love that everywork out has a good amount of time for warming up/stretching before and after the work out itself.
So in light of my feeling strong and fit and getting ready for my summer I want you to feel as good as I do so I'm starting my MARCH MADNESS COUNTDOWN TO SUMMER FITNESS CHALLENGE MARCH 10 & MARCH 20. Whether your a beginner, novice or athlete there is a program for you to get ready for summer! Let me know if your in and I'll send you the details!
